Care Guide

INITIAL WEAR
Selvedge denim tells its story over time, with each fade and crease marking your journey. Avoid washing your jeans for as long as possible initially. Let the indigo fade naturally, creating patterns unique to you.
WASHING FREQUENCY
To preserve their character and strength, wash your jeans sparingly—ideally every 3–6 months or only when necessary. Excessive washing can fade the color prematurely and affect the denim’s texture.
PRE-WASH PREP
Turn your jeans inside out and fasten any buttons and zippers. This minimizes friction and protects the outer surface during washing.
HAND WASHING (Recommended)
- Fill a basin with lukewarm water and add a small amount of mild, bleach-free detergent.
- Gently agitate the water; let the jeans soak for 45 minutes to an hour.
- Rinse thoroughly with cold water. Do not wring; instead, gently roll the jeans to remove excess water.
MACHINE WASHING (Only if Necessary)
- Use a gentle cycle with cold water.
- Place jeans in a mesh bag to reduce friction and color loss.
- Use only a small amount of mild detergent—no bleach or fabric softeners.
DRYING
Hang your jeans to dry in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight. Avoid tumble drying to prevent
shrinkage and fiber weakening.
SPOT CLEANING
For minor stains, dab with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid scrubbing, as it may cause localized fading.
STORAGE
Hang by the waistband or fold neatly in a dry, well-ventilated area to prevent creases and maintain structure.
ADDITIONAL TIPS
- Breaking In : New selvedge denim may feel stiff but will soften over time, molding to your shape.
- Color Transfer: Be cautious of color transfer onto light fabrics and surfaces, especially before the first wash.
